A friend recommended it and I owe them one
A friend recommended it and I owe them one. If Action, Multiplayer, Open World is your thing, Fortnite delivers it without much filler. On paper it is The battle royale that became a platform., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Worth it, especially on sale.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Multiplayer, Open World is your thing, Fortnite delivers it without much filler. On paper it is The battle royale that became a platform., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
