Far Cry 3 is easily one of Ubisoft's best games and still holds up incredibly well today. 🌴 The Rook Islands are beautiful, atmospheric, and full of things to do. The combination of open-world exploration, gunplay, hunting, crafting, stealth, and outpost liberation makes the gameplay extremely addictive. I especially love how you can approach enemy camps however you want — stealthily, with a sniper rifle, or by simply causing complete chaos. One of the biggest highlights is definitely Vaas. His character, personality, and unforgettable dialogue make him one of the best villains in gaming. Michael Mando's performance is absolutely fantastic. It's a shame that the story doesn't maintain quite the same level after Vaas. Despite being an older game, the graphics and atmosphere still look great. The tropical environment, wildlife, soundtrack, and exploration make the world feel alive. Overall, Far Cry 3 is a must-play for anyone who enjoys open-world FPS games. It's one of those games that helped define the modern open-world formula and remains one of Ubisoft's classics. **9/10 — Still a classic. 🔥**

The best Far Cry installment there is
The best Far Cry installment there is. Soundtrack, mechanics, gameplay, and story are solid; they excel where I did not expect them to. The voice acting for everyone is well done, and the character arcs of not only the protagonist, but also the antagonists are worth their time. At the time of release, Far Cry 3 offered a level of freedom and flexibility not commonly seen in its genre (practically spearheading open world FPS). The many options for transportation, weapons, and skills allow for a variety of creative approaches. There is proper compensation for the idyllic setting, namely a lot of violence and the brilliant, nihilistic Vaas. For reasons temporal and subjective, I really enjoyed every part of this game; I feel the entire package was just right. What this title lacks is a more streamlined game UI and crafting system, which Ubisoft did fix in Far Cry 4. In retrospect, the actual story is rather generic, but they made the most out of the intercharacter relationships. If you're looking for a decent co-op or multiplayer experience, forget it, those were slapped in just so they could exist. Uplay doesn't help either, although there have been massive improvements since 2012. The star of the show is its consequence-free single-player killing spree. Oh, and did I mention, this game is fun.

Ubisoft! It's an 11 year old game that is now 100% single player! STOP MAKING ME LOG INTO YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SITE EVERY TIME I WANT TO PLAY ONE OF YOUR GOOD GAMES! The fact that I must now wait an hour because I miss typed my account a few too many times is absolutely unforgivable. I bought the damn game, it is my property. DO NOT FORCE ME NOT TO PLAY IT FOR ANY REASON!!! In the games current state, just pirate it. It's a 10/10 game, but ♥♥♥♥ UBISOFT.
