Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Divine Knockout (DKO) wears its Action, Multiplayer influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (KO the gods in the world’s only 3rd-person platform fighter! Become a) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. There is more content here than the price suggests. Worth it, especially on sale.
I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. The Action, Multiplayer side of Divine Knockout (DKO) is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. The idea (KO the gods in the world’s only 3rd-person platform fighter! Become a) is there, but the execution never catches up to it. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. There is more content here than the price suggests. Wait for a deep sale.
