Still thinking about it

Depth? more like heart attack simulator 2015. if the idea of you squealing like a girl, as a 20 ft 2 ton prehistoric killing machine thrashes you about as if you were its personal chew toy sounds like fun. then you're in luck! depth has such features as: * dark environments where divers suffer from lack of visibilty, sometimes you cant even see where your getting eaten from! * buildings to hide in! but they can be broken into, like they were built from lego that wall you camping infront of doesnt seem so safe now does it? * large open spaces! oh boy! nothing says "terror and fear" than a large open space which can occupy a shark in ANY DIRECTION * watching your friends get snatched in front of you and then being helpless to shoot back. great fun! * finally killing a shark *plundering gold plated nazi pistols because nazis were pimps. yo, *watching steve the robot struggle to get his fat ass back to the boat and finally you get to kill innocent little seals!!! what more could you want from a game 20/10 would buy again!!!

Easy recommendation

Coming from a group of indie developers with no history of games on Steam and a name nobody knew, Depth showed that not every startup project is doomed to fail, and went beyond that by proving how polished a game can be. There are many bestselling games with huge money invested into the development, that still crash, have all kinds of glitches and bugs, lack optimization and so forth. None of this applies to Depth. In all of my nearly 200 hours I've yet to come across a visual glitch, let alone a game-breaking bug. To add to that, for the asymmetrical kind of game it is, Depth is very balanced. Being experienced as both sides, you can't just pick one and know you're more likely to win, and none of the shark species with their own unique characteristics is superior and the go-to shark among the best players. As a result, there will always be a lot of variety in every game, with some divers choosing to go for harpoons and others choosing auto rifles, sharks going for the very different Great White and Thresher, and more. Perhaps due to the above and lack of attempts to charge for content that affects the gameplay, the game still has a sizable playerbase. The waiting times aren't always perfect (sometimes taking up to 7-10 minutes) but there's never a time when you want to play Depth and you have to wait forever to get a match. Bonus points to the developers for the game's perfect 21:9 support with a highly adjustable FOV slider, and good 5.1 sound for a truly immersive experience! P.S. Don't let the game fool you into thinking that shark attacks are common. In real life, on average only about 10 attacks each year result in human deaths. So let's leave the killing of sharks to fiction, like this video game, and preserve the actual animals.
