Unique game that did NOT deserve to die. One of the BEST BR's ever made. Gameplay is/was unmatched. IT NEEDS REVIVAL!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ADVERTISE AND RE-LAUNCH. PLEASE. ITS WAY TOO GOOD TO DIE.
Game is a super great concept and was super fun. Only reason I say was is because this is a game that one could describe as "dead" in every sense. Devs stopped development and there's no community, I'm sure servers will be gone relatively soon. As much as I would love to see this game come back, it just won't, so instead I'll just say that the game was a truly unique and fun take on the over saturated battle royale genre and I had some fun memories of this game. This game also goes to show how these hidden gems can and will die since multiplayer is always the big thing devs go for, with no option of single player. It's sad that the game will only leave the YouTube videos made about it with no way to experience it again. RIP to the most unique battle royale game I've ever seen.
This game... is insanely fun. Do not mistake it for just another battle royale. Darwin Project has, among other things, a survival system based on a cold meter that gradually drops. Once your cold meter is depleted you take 50dmg per tick (which is a second or so) out of your 600health pool. DO NOT underestimate the cold. It also has an amazing tracking system that lets you inspect previously looted things from other players. By inspecting these clues you can essentially see your prey on the map for 30sec. Every player also leave footsteps in the snow that you can actually see and follow, which is very fun. I can't forget about the show director... I don't know why no one has ever thought of this before. Being the show director, you can decide which zone of the map to close, you can drop nukes on players, help them with single target boosts, or drop the gravity to create intense mid-air fights. Darwin project is more than just those 3 things I've barely explained... but you should seriously consider trying it out for it is easy to pick up and deceptively hard to master while being ridiculously addictive.
