Cyberpunk 2077 after the 2.x updates is the game it always promised to be. Night City at max settings is something else.

Cyberpunk 2077 is Night City at its worst and best: a neon-soaked open world where mercenary work, body mods and one very persistent rocker-ghost drive a redemption story.
A friend recommended it and I owe them one. If RPG, Action, Cyberpunk is your thing, Cyberpunk 2077 delivers it without much filler. On paper it is An open-world action RPG set in the gleaming gut of Night City., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The RPG, Action, Cyberpunk mix is what kept me playing; Cyberpunk 2077 knows what it wants to be. The pitch — An open-world action RPG set in the gleaming gut of Night City. — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
Verdant Reign hides a surprisingly deep economy under the cozy art direction. Big thanks to @pixelhunter for pointing me here — their verdict list is basically gospel for strategy fans these days.
