Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. If Action, Adventure, Cozy is your thing, Crab Champions delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Claw your way across exotic islands combining fluid movement with fast paced — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. I will be back for another run.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Crab Champions wears its Action, Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (Claw your way across exotic islands combining fluid movement with fast paced) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. I will be back for another run.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. If Action, Adventure, Cozy is your thing, Crab Champions delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (Claw your way across exotic islands combining fluid movement with fast paced) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
