Call of Duty is back, redefining war like you've never experienced before. Building on the Call of Duty 4®: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War immerses players into the most gritty and chaotic WWII combat ever experienced. Players band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles that led to the demise of the Axis powers on the European and Pacific fronts. The title offers an uncensored experience with unique enemies and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning cover tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through the all new four-player cooperative campaign. The addictive competitive multiplayer has also been enhanced with new infantry and vehicle-based action, a higher level cap, more weapons, and a host of new Perks, maps and challenges. Harsh New Enemies, Environments and Tactics: Face off against ruthless and tactically advanced enemies that will stop at nothing to defend their homelands, from swamp ambushes and tree-top snipers to fearless Kamikaze attacks. Play as a U.S. Marine and Russian conscript across a variety of Pacific and European locations against the fearless Imperial Japanese
After finally finishing WaW on veteran, I can 100% say that this game is one of the greatest titles in the series and one of the best games in all of gaming For starters, the campaign for both Marines and Red Army were absolutely amazing. In the Marine campaign, you play more defensively, making you resort to dirty fighting and guerilla warfare (the flamethrower in that game is peak) They flip the tables on you in the Soviet campaign and its total brutality on the Eastern frontier, testing your morals, which even (SPOILERS) Chernov will describe in his book based on what acts you committed The American campaign also has two endings but it doesn't dictate anything at all, it's just a cool little thing that was added Not to mention original Zombies and WaW multiplayer Zombies is one of the greatest gamemodes of all time, and sure not everyone enjoys a round-based zombie shooter, but they cannot deny that WaW definitely struck gold Multiplayer is not too bad given what game this is and its age, though its mostly ran on Plutonium servers today (alongside Mpzombies) its still pretty fun overall for beginners Overall man, this is a genuinely solid 9.7/10 for me, and the only thing that breaks it is the normal video game jank (characters pushing you, annoying AI, GRENADES) the story, atmosphere, and even physics/gore is what truly defines this game for me Treyarch really struck gold when they created World at War.
love this game and all but can someone explain to me why this game (along with the other cod games) is being sold at outrageous prices if it doesnt even come with an activation key? i genuinely would try to get a refund but im doubtful it would work since activision probably has it written into the terms of service that they don't have to provide you with a key (even though the game, here on steam, is advertised as having multiplayer capabilities). activision, like any other corporation, is a blight on humanity. how shocking
