This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Call of Duty®: Black Ops wears its Action, Multiplayer, Co-op influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is The biggest first-person action series of all time and the follow-up to, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. I will be back for another run.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Call of Duty®: Black Ops leans hard into Action, Multiplayer, Co-op, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (The biggest first-person action series of all time and the follow-up to) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Easy recommend at full price.
