Just Updated. . New map!, Trenches. Built around a mix of intense close quarters fights inside the trench network and longer range engagements across the open areas surrounding it, Trenches introduces a larger battlefield with strong contrast between confined, chaotic combat and exposed long distance sightlines.. . About the Game. SEE COMBAT THROUGH THE LENS. Bodycam is the first ultra-realistic multiplayer FPS built to recreate the intensity of real combat. Experience tactical firefights through the lens of a body camera, where every angle you hold, every decision you make, and every bullet you fire can decide the outcome. Miss a check, and you pay for it. No crosshair. No ammo counter. No HUD. Countless hours were spent studying real footage, optics, camera movement, compression, exposure, sound behavior, and combat situations to push realism as far as possible.. . . . THE TRUE FIRST-PERSON FEEL. Unlike traditional FPS games, where the camera drives the entire experience and floating hands are simply attached to your screen, Bodycam takes a completely different approach.. . Your arms, torso, legs and weapon are all physically connected. On top of this, we developed our True Body
I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. The Action, MMO, Sim side of Bodycam is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. What it promises (Bodycam is the first tactical multiplayer FPS with a true body-camera view in) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. Too many systems are introduced and then abandoned. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Wait for a deep sale.
I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. Bodycam leans hard into Action, MMO, Sim, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Bodycam is the first tactical multiplayer FPS with a true body-camera view in — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Bodycam leans hard into Action, MMO, Sim, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Bodycam is the first tactical multiplayer FPS with a true body-camera view in) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
