There is a good game buried in here somewhere. The Action side of Blood Trail is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. It advertises You are Wendigo. A hard-hearted contract killer tasked with annihilating a; what you get is a thinner version of that. The pacing sags in the middle third and never fully recovers. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Wait for a deep sale.

I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. Blood Trail leans hard into Action, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (You are Wendigo. A hard-hearted contract killer tasked with annihilating a) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
