I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. The Action, Strategy side of Baldi's Basics Plus is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. It advertises Baldi's Basics® Plus is an active stealth roguelike that parodies cheap '90s; what you get is a thinner version of that. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Try before you buy.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Baldi's Basics Plus leans hard into Action, Strategy, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Baldi's Basics® Plus is an active stealth roguelike that parodies cheap '90s — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

Not a bad game, just not one I can recommend without caveats. Baldi's Basics Plus promises a lot with its Action, Strategy setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. What it promises (Baldi's Basics® Plus is an active stealth roguelike that parodies cheap '90s) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. It asks for a lot of grinding before the interesting parts show up. There is more content here than the price suggests. Not for everyone, and not for me.
